I took time off and rented a car (not cheap by the way) to drive to Charles Boyd Chevrolet in Henderson, NC, to potentially purchase a vehicle. My experience as a customer was VERY insulting, and was cheapened by the auto salesmen's practices. There is a lot of backstory to this, but in a nutshell, this dealership does NOT make the customer the priority. Yes, the goal of a business is to make money, keep people employed, and turn a profit. HOWEVER, this should not happen at a customer's expense. I will be posting this on my social media account and telling anyone and everyone that I know who is looking to purchase a vehicle to avoid Charles Boyd Chevrolet, especially in Henderson, NC. Russell Boyd and Victor Marzana of Charles Boyd Chevrolet in Henderson, NC, embody the stereotypical auto salesman. It really was a sad experience...
They could've gotten a 5 star review if they would've put the spare tire back under the truck after buying a tire and the services/repairs that totaled more than $1,600.

I give 5⭐'s and hats off to the guys in the service department at Boyd in Henderson!! My 3.0L Duramax diesel needed an EGR valve. I bought an OE EGR valve online which was most economical for me. Another GMC dealership outside of Durham that I was dealing with, wasn't prompt to say the least with service at all. My truck has sat at that dealership for 2-3 weeks at a time, multiple times for simple service. I took my truck to Boyd on Tuesday, and it was repaired and ready on Thursday of the same week!! 👍 They performed an excellent job!!!! But the real kicker is another dealership wanted $1900+ to install an EGR valve supplied by them. So, that's $100 for the valve and $1,800 to install. WTH?!?! The valve at just about every dealership is around $95. My cost at Boyd to install 'only" of my supplied EGR valve, was around $780 🕺 Now, I have around $835 invested in this repair! Need I say more?!?!

My 2023 Chevy Colorado has left me stranded twice due to the software. I entered an appointment 2 weeks in advance to get my oil changed, tires rotated and check the current software version on the truck to see if it was the latest (I told them if it needed to be upgraded I would make another appointment). They did the oil change and the tire rotation but refused to check the version and told me to make another appointment. They had two weeks to reschedule the appointment to get everything done but instead, I have to waste more of my time and drive 52 miles so they can check the software. If it is up to date, it's a wasted trip- they could have checked it when I was there. GM is horrible in letting customers know their software needs to be upgraded, a terrible process of upgrading the software and this dealer isn't sensitive to that. Chevy has it locked in with the software so you can't go to a third party but I can go to a different dealer. The $47,000 truck has 7,500 miles on it. Due to the lack of support from GM and the dealers, I really regret buying it.

I have a 2005 GMC canyon and the cluster went out in it so I contacted the dealership they was quickly to get me in and get it removed and get it sent off to be repaired got it back pretty quickly I highly recommend if you need any type of work done definitely stop by and let them check it out and see what they can do for you

My family and I were traveling to Washington DC and our check engine light came on. Thankfully we were half a mile from this dealership. Everyone we talked to was extremely friendly and they worked us in so we could get back on the road. Thank you Charles Boyd for an amazing customer experience and for getting us back on the road!
The service staff was very nice but I indicated that I wanted my old parts back and did not get them. I contacted them and still no response. My car doesn't run any better either.

Having worked at a GM dealership for the past 6 years, (sales and service) I understand the complexity of this industry and how at times impossible circumstances become an inconvenience for both employees and consumer involved. This weekend while beginning our family vacation my Buick needed immediate attention. Randy in service, went above and BEYOND to make sure this inconvenience was as manageable as possible!! He was extremely informative in every process and communication was at an all time high!! I can not begin to praise his efforts enough and I’m incredibly happy to have been part of the GM family!! What a wonderful service department. I’m blessed!! Thanks Boyd for making this vacation a pleasant memory!!
